
This meeting, attended by Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, Minister of Health and Social Protection, Amine Tahraoui, the Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, Fouzi Lekjaa, and the Director General of the National Social Security Fund, Hassan Boubrik, provided an opportunity to review the progress made in implementing the program for the construction of university, regional, and provincial hospitals, which includes 64 projects, according to a press release from the Head of Government’s Department.
The meeting also examined the progress of the program to rehabilitate primary health centers, the statement added, noting that 934 of these centers have been rehabilitated so far, with the goal of reaching a total of 1,439 such facilities.
The meeting also focused on the implementation of the program related to the creation of territorial health groups, which will be launched in one of the Kingdom’s regions as a pilot phase, according to the same source.
During the meeting, Akhannouch emphasized that the structural reform of the health system undertaken by the government in a serious and responsible manner, in line with the Royal High Directives, is not limited solely to measures related to material and human resources. It also aims to address the various challenges related to administrative and institutional governance.
He also welcomed the progress made in implementing the various programs related to the reform of the national health system. He called on the concerned sectors to intensify their efforts and continue accelerating the implementation of all aspects of this reform to ensure the success of this project, in accordance with the Royal High Instructions.
