This renewal, adopted at the 14th General Assembly, reflects international recognition of Morocco's contribution to preventing and combating corruption, the Forum says in a press release.
Morocco's re-election to the Executive Committee confirms not only the renewed trust in the INPPLC, but also the importance of its representatives' synergies and cooperation within various IAACA structures, notably the Executive Committee, the Training Committee and the African Coordination Committee, the same source adds.
This new mandate within this global network will undoubtedly provide Morocco with a new opportunity to strengthen its contribution to international efforts to prevent and combat corruption, and in return benefit from the most significant mechanisms and advances in detection, investigation and cooperation strategies and techniques.
Founded in October 2006, IAACA aims to promote the effective implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and bolstering international cooperation in this field. It brings together over 180 members, including law enforcement authorities, anti-corruption agencies, experts and representatives of international organizations.
Through high-level training programs, conferences and symposia on key issues, best-practice exchange platforms and the promotion of international standards, IAACA helps member institutions to consolidate their capacities and align their anti-corruption strategies.
It also works to support member countries in improving their regulatory and institutional frameworks, enabling them to adopt more effective mechanisms to prevent and combat corruption practices.
